Welcome to Vernon Middle School!

VMS Mission Statement: To foster academic excellence in each student while providing a safe and caring learning environment through a partnership with out staff, students, families, and community.

Schedule Change

Due to the number of weather-related school cancellations this year, Vernon Middle School will be adding 15 instructional minutes to its day beginning Monday, January 29th. VMS will accomplish this by beginning our school day five (5) minutes earlier and ending five (5) minutes later. We have made internal changes to our schedule for the additional five (5) minutes. Our school hours will change to 7:45 AM until 3:0 PM. This will mean that your students will be picked up by their buses five (5) minutes earlier in the morning and will be dropped off five (5) minutes later in the afternoon. This will change our parent drop-off window to 7:05-7:45 and our parent pick-up to 2:55-3:05. Students will now be tardy at 7:45 if they are not dropped off by then. Please call our office with any questions.
